What is the Best Foundation?

The short answer? It Depends on Your Skin...

When it comes to finding the best foundation, there’s one thing I always tell my clients: there isn’t one foundation that works perfectly for everyone.

We all have different skin types, textures, tones and preferences. Some of us have dry skin and want something lightweight and hydrating, while others may have oily skin and need a foundation that offers longer-lasting, shine-controlling coverage. Some people love a full-coverage finish, while others want their skin to look like skin. And then there’s everything in between!

That’s why choosing a foundation isn’t simply about finding the one with the best reviews or the most popular name. A foundation that looks incredible on one person may not give the same result on someone else.

So how can you Find the Right Foundation for YOU?

As a makeup artist, I’m always testing and comparing foundations to see how they perform on different skin types and complexions. I’m particularly interested in how they look in real life, how they wear throughout the day, how they sit on different skin textures and, most importantly, who they actually work best for. (There is also the very important factor of how you apply it, but I will save that for another blog post!)
